How to Preserve a Vintage Lamp
Protect your lamp from falls, high humidity, direct sunlight, and strong sources of heat. When moving it, support the lamp by its base rather than lifting it by the shade, lamp holder, or cord.
If the lamp will not be used for an extended period, unplug it and cover it with a lightweight fabric to protect it from dust.
Every vintage lamp is unique. Minor signs of age, variations in glass, natural patina, or distinctive glazing are not flaws. They preserve the history of the object and make it truly one of a kind.
